General Requirements

Langkawi Rent a Car. Requires that all rental car drivers provide a currently valid driver's license that is issued by the renter's state or residence to be inspected at the time of the vehicle rental. Licenses must not be any form of a learner's permit, temporary license or a copy of the original document. All drivers must also have means to pay for the rental and be willing to pay the full rental amount as well as a deposit fee.

Age Requirements

The minimum age to rent a car is 18 years.

Responsibilities

You are liable for any damage on the vehicle for accidents or negligence on your behalf. You require undertaking full responsibility on the vehicle until it returned to the owner.

Vehicles Insurance Cover Excess Clause

Vehicle insurance cover is subjected to the Excess Clause of RM3000 (Car), and RM5000 (MPV / Van). Meaning, you are require to compensate maximum RM3000 (Car), and RM5000 (MPV / Van) for any losses or damage for the vehicle. Unless you add-on No. 2 : RM200 Excess Clause package.

Payment for Booking Confirmation

We require full payment to secure your booking. The booking is not secured without any payment received.

Payment Mode

Langkawi Rent a Car currently accepts Bank Transfer, MasterCard and Visa, Paypal, credit and debit cards.

Cancellation Policy

There are no modification of booking received within 7 days prior to arrival. If cancelled within 7 days, no refund will be issued. In case of no show, total price of the booking will be charged.

Deposit Rental (Refundable)

Our customer relation will collect RM100 during handover the vehicle by issuing deposit voucher. You are require to exchange it back upon drop-off.

Child Safety Seat

If you rented a child safety seat from us, you have the sole responsibility to properly install the seat. The seat is rented “AS IS.” We make no warranties, express, implied or apparent, regarding the seat, no warranty of merchantability and no warranty that the seat is fi t for a particular purpose. You are responsible for all injury or damage arising out of, or related to your use of the child safety seat. Add-on No.1 : Child Seat.

Compound or Summon

You are liable for any traffic offences compound or summon incurred while possessing the vehicle. Our vehicles is/are not for illegal intentional usage contravene causing the vehicles to be confiscated or otherwise.

Off Road Driving

Langkawi Rent a Car Rentals vehicles may not be operated on non-paved roads. Driving of vehicle on beaches is not permitted. Vehicles are not allowed to cross rivers & beach (bodies of water).

Late Charges

Rentals are based on a 24 hour day. A car rented at 10AM for a one-day rental is due back at 10AM the next day. There is a 59-minute grace period. If the car is returned within the 59-minute grace period there will not be any additional hourly rate. Beyond the 59-minute period, an hourly rate will apply until it equals the rate for an additional day. If a vehicle is returned beyond the parameter associated with a specific rate code the rental may revert to a higher applicable rate. Add-on No.4 : Extra Hours Charge.

Fuel
Fuel is not included in the rate, each vehicle is supplied with certain level of fuel and shall be returned with the same level.  Unless you purchase add-on fuel package. Add-on No.3 : Fuel.

ADD-ON DESCRIPTION:

ADD-ON 1: CHILD SEAT

Child seat is provided upon request subjected to the availability. Rental charge for child seat is RM25 per rental basis. Damaged toward child seat after used will be charge at RM200.

ADD-ON 2: VEHICLE INSURANCE COVER (EXCESS CLAUSE RM200)

This excess fee is a special vehicle insurance cover that is subjected to the Excess Clause of RM200 for Car and MPV/Van. Meaning, you are require to compensate maximum RM200 (Car and MPV / Van) for any losses or damage for the vehicle.

ADD-ON 3: FUEL

Customer can choose either they want to purchase this add-on for half tank or full tank of fuel. Upon pick up the vehicle, we will be provided the fuel as requested. During return the vehicle, it is possible to return with quarter of or empty tank.

ADD-ON 4: EXTRA HOUR

As our vehicle rental charge is 24 hours basis, extra usage of vehicle will be charged differently as stated in the table above. Extra usage more than six hours will be consider and charged as one day rental.

ADD-ON 5: DELIVERY SURCHARGE

Vehicle delivery to Jetty Kuah, Pantai Cenang / Pantai Tengah and Airport are free of charge. Unless there are request to deliver the vehicle to certain area like Datai, Andaman, Pantai Kok and Tanjung Rhu additional charge will be applied as following the table above. For delivery to other than stated location, we will advise later on after receiving customer confirmation.
